Repair a broken shelf support—not the whole fridge.
For cases where the shelf is still usable but a moulded lug, liner support or mounting point has snapped, cracked or become unusable. Fridge Bridge Support Bracket is designed to create a new independent support point close to the original shelf position.
Two Fridge Bridge Support Brackets, specified adhesive and repair guidance. Existing shelf retained. No payment is currently being taken.
When the shelf is fine but the support point has failed
A refrigerator can remain mechanically sound while one small moulded lug, shelf stud, liner hole or plastic support fails. The validated Fridge Bridge Support Bracket creates a new independent support point close to the original shelf position without drilling into the fridge cabinet.
Different fridges use different names for the same kind of feature: shelf lug, peg, stud, knob or support. If that moulded feature has snapped away from the liner, simply buying another clip may not solve the underlying mounting-point failure.
Typical repair problem
- Broken or snapped fridge shelf support
- Moulded fridge lug broken away
- Fridge shelf mounting point cracked or stripped
- OEM support discontinued or unavailable
What Fridge Bridge is not
If a cheap genuine replacement clip fits an intact mounting point, that may be the simplest solution. Fridge Bridge is aimed at the harder case where the mounting point itself is damaged or no longer usable.
No-drill shelf support concept
The final Fridge Bridge Support Bracket uses a large adhesive-backed support plate and reinforced ledge to transfer shelf load into a suitable area of fridge liner rather than back into the failed lug or hole. Adhesive, cold-temperature, surface-preparation and long-term creep validation has completed successfully.
Frequently asked questions
Can a broken fridge shelf support be repaired?
Some failures can be solved with a replacement OEM support. Fridge Bridge is intended for harder cases where the original mounting point itself is damaged, broken or unavailable.
What is included and how much is it?
The planned consumer price is £19.99 for two Fridge Bridge Support Brackets, specified adhesive and repair fitting guidance. The existing shelf is retained and no replacement shelf is included.
Does Fridge Bridge require screws or drilling?
No. Each Fridge Bridge Support Bracket bonds to a compatible liner using the specified structural adhesive system. Installation requires the approved preparation method and a full 72-hour cure.
Will it fit every fridge?
No universal fit claim is being made. Compatibility will depend on liner material, local geometry, shelf position and the type of damage.
Is there a load rating?
Yes. The maximum working load is 15 kg evenly distributed. It requires the specified adhesive, a compatible liner, correct installation and the full 72-hour cure. For a repaired shelf, do not exceed the lower rating of the original shelf or remaining factory supports.

If you have already fitted a new part and it is still loose, use our diagnostic guide: replacement fridge shelf clip won't work.
Want more shelf space rather than a repair?
Choose the £29.99 4-Bracket Support Kit if you already have a suitable shelf, or the £49.99 Full Shelf Kit when you also need the adjustable shelf supplied.
Repairing or refurbishing fridges regularly?
FRIDGE BRIDGE is planning trade packs of fridge shelf support brackets for appliance engineers, used-fridge refurbishers and property maintenance teams. Proposed packs cover five, ten or twenty-five two-bracket repair jobs.
