The side datum gives every bracket the same reference height.
Fridge Bridge Support Bracket has a recessed datum groove on both outer side edges. The groove centreline is level with the shelf-support surface and reaches the fridge-wall plane, making it easier to align the bracket to a pencil or tape mark.

The preferred commercial direction is a complete Extra Shelf Kit rather than supports alone. The goal is to make the shelf and mounting system work together so customers do not need to source a separate shelf.

Many fridges have vertical space that is difficult to use efficiently. The new Fridge Bridge concept explores whether four accurately aligned supports could create a new shelf level for a correctly sized OEM or compatible shelf where suitable factory shelf supports are not available.

Why four supports?
A conventional shelf is normally supported at multiple points. A four-support kit would aim to distribute the shelf load and create a stable shelf level rather than relying on a single improvised bracket.
Adding a shelf is not the same as repairing one
An extra shelf creates additional engineering questions: shelf alignment, door clearance, drawer access, cold-air circulation, lights and sensors, liner curvature and the suitability of the chosen mounting position. Fridge Bridge will not be marketed as a way to add a shelf “anywhere” in any fridge.
The complete four-support kit is planned around a compatible adjustable shelf so customers do not need to source every component separately.

Can I add an extra shelf to my fridge?
Some fridges already have spare factory shelf positions. Where useful factory fixings do not exist, the Fridge Bridge system uses four aligned no-drill support brackets. Compatibility must be confirmed for the liner, shelf and proposed position.
Is the adjustable shelf included?
Yes. The planned £49.99 Full Shelf Kit includes the compatible adjustable shelf, four Fridge Bridge Support Brackets, specified adhesive, contact pads, positioning guidance and instructions.
Does the kit require screws or drilling?
No. The four Fridge Bridge Support Brackets bond to a compatible liner using the specified structural adhesive system. Installation requires the approved preparation method and a full 72-hour cure.
Can I fit the shelf at any height?
No. The location must avoid vents, lights, sensors, drawers and door interference, and it must offer a suitable mounting surface. Published compatibility guidance will define the supported shelf range, liner surfaces and required clearances.
What is the maximum working load?
The maximum working load is 15 kg evenly distributed across the completed shelf. This requires a compatible liner, specified adhesive, correct installation and the full 72-hour cure.
How much is the Full Shelf Kit?
The planned consumer price is £49.99. The kit is not yet on sale while shelf sourcing and launch preparation are completed. Bracket and load validation are complete, with a maximum working load of 15 kg evenly distributed.

The Extra Shelf Kit is the lead growth direction, but Fridge Bridge is also retaining a dedicated Shelf Repair Kit for broken lugs, shelf supports and mounting points where the original shelf is still usable.
